Wild Fabrications lab | Summer 2025
Do you have a project that’s too weird for school, too wild for work, or too big for your living room? Welcome to Wild Fabrications Lab, a summer-long residency in the city centre where art, design, and technology collide. In July and August 2025, The HUB and MakerCosmos invite emerging makers to take over the Makercosmos space in Rozet to build the ideas you’ve been holding on to for too long. No deadlines. No grades. Just space, time, tools and like-minded people.
What’s in the lab?
At Makercosmos, you’ll have access to a full creative workspace, including:
- Laser cutters, 3D printers & CNC machines
- Textile & vinyl plotters
- Piles of leftover materials & found objects
- Hand tools, sewing machines, electronics, and more
You’ll work independently or in collaboration on your project, with space to experiment, fail, rebuild, remix and share.
Program Highlights
Besides full access to the lab during Rozet’s opening hours, the summer includes a Masterclass CNC Machines, A mentor session with The HUB and a public showcase/closing event to show what you’ve built and connect with others.
Who is it for?
The Wild Fabrications Lab is for all makers in the starting phase of their professional journey. You can be an educator, artist, product designer or all those things at once. To all recent graduates; feel especially invited to bridge the gap between your study and work-life here at the Wild Fabrications Lab.
Time
The Wild Fabrications Lab is designed to be flexible and self-directed, but we also want to make sure everyone benefits fully from the space, the tools, and the community.
Here’s what we expect from you:
Suggested time investment
- Minimum: 1 day per week for July and August, or the same amount of days but clustered together to fit your holiday agenda.
Maximum: Up to you! You can be in the lab during the opening hours of Rozet.
Key moments
- Kick-off: 27th of June, 16:00
- Masterclass & mentor session: 4th of July (entire day)
- Final showcase event: 5th of September 19.30
